Ever had to stop what you were doing because it started to get dark and you either didn’t have a light or a spare hand to hold it? Here’s the answer: a convenient light that doesn’t get in the way, you don’t have to carry, that doesn’t need new batteries all the time and gives you all the safety and functionality you want. What’s more, you never forget to bring it with you because it’s already on your head!
Wear this comfortable, good looking baseball cap to keep the sun off during the day – then push the button and you’ve got two strong LEDs lighting up about 6 feet in front of you, when it gets dark. Great for campers, backpackers, hunters, fishermen, sports people, security staff and trades people, to see and be seen
Fully charged, the Solar Light Cap will give you up to 5 hours of light on full power, or up to 36 hours of light on other modes. The first charge will take 3 days but after that a day’s charging in sunlight (approx. 8 hours in reasonable light) will fully charge the cap. Usage time depends on the conditions in which the cap is charged – less time, or cloudy conditions means fewer hours of light available.
Your Solar Light Cap will shine around 6 feet in front of you with a standard head angle. By lifting your head higher the beam of light can extend out to around 20 feet (about two car lengths) ahead.
It’s not just a matter of seeing, but also of being seen. Wearing your Solar Light Cap means you can be seen from a distance. While the lights have been angled so they won’t shine directly in people’s eyes, they are still highly visible.
Powersave:
The Solar Light Cap uses a special mode to turn off before the battery drains completely. This ensures the cap always has a little left in reserve to provide short bursts of light with every press of the button until the power is finally exhausted. This can be extended to up to 20 minutes of light using the dimmer.
Latest Technology:
When sunlight shines onto the solar cell panel enclosed in the peak of the Solar Light Cap, photovoltaic technology converts this solar energy into electricity, which is then stored in three special batteries for later use. The Solar Light Cap then uses a microprocessor – a controlled charging and discharging system that provides pulse width modulation – to control the light brightness and various light pulse patterns. This allows even light brightness as the battery discharges and saves power when using the dimmer or pattern controls.
